Well-known, NYC architectural and interiors office seeks design architect with four – seven years experience, and extensive, easily-demonstrated ability generating custom details/ documentation for high-end retail interiors. If hired, will begin immediately on elite, overseas project, for an iconic luxury retailer. There is little or no project management or travel associated with the position; Grand majority of time will be spent in the rapid, efficient design and drafting of exquisite custom details, displays, millwork, fixtures, and paneling.
In addition to high-end retail expertise, candidates should be well versed in the process, or passionate about the prospect of working on modern private residences, entirely custom – firm executes a fairly even mix of high-end residential and high-end retail.
Office is mid-sized, and frequently published – plenty of room for growth. Strong benefits offered, in addition to salary. Applicants need not be registered or even degreed architects. Interior Designers who are very AutoCAD focused are also encouraged to apply. In either case, must have strong retail experience with luxury, Madison Avenue type clients, in a firm such as Peter Marino Architect, Rafael Vinoly or Studio Sofield.
